about

Listen to the debut of Mike Benoit, our newest supporter on his phenomenal self-penned album, At The Gates. Inspired by "The Gates of Hell" (French: La Porte de l'Enfer), a monumental bronze sculptural group by French artist Auguste Rodin, depicting a scene from Hell, the first section of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, he elaborated this masterpiece of contemporary Dark Ambient. Electronic and really thought-provoking soundscapes are present in the new album by this great producer who arrives today demonstrating his first solo work here at the home of the noisy goats. Mike Benoit is known for his unusual Dark Ambient partnerships with artists from several other musical styles as incredible as the first. Check out this album and discover the chilling power of Mike Benoit's drones. I'm sitting here awestruck by this firecracker from him and hoping for much more from this dear, prolific and accomplished contributor to the Dark Music scene on Bandcamp.
